Fantasy Cricket Competition

Ever wanted to be an international cricket selector, well this competition is your chance to prove you have what it takes. Throughout this year international summer of cricket the club will be running its Fantasy Cricket Competition as it has done in the past. However, this season there are some new twists and even more games.

How it will work

Each person will select two sides, their international test side and one sides consisting of players participating in the 2007 Ashes Series and the upcoming VB Series in January. The players in your two sides will accumulate points for your team and the person who has the most points after the completion of both series will be the winner.

Your test side must consist of 12 players for the test series and must be submitted before 10:00AM on the morning of the Day 1 of the 1st Test on 23rd November 2006. In your side you:

• Must select 6 players from each country (Australia and England)
• Must select 1 wicket keeper
• Must select 5 batsman
• Must select 4 bowlers
• Must select 2 all rounders
• Must select one batsman as a trump player and one bowler as a trump player

Your one day side must also consist of 12 players and must be submitted before the start of the first one day match. In your side you:

• Must select 4 players from each country
• Must select 1 wicket keeper
• Must select 2 all rounders
• Must select 4 bowlers
• Must select 5 batsman
• Must select one batsman as a trump player and one bowler as a trump player

Note: it will only include normal competition matches and will not include the finals for the one day series.

For each of the normal competition matches in the international competition each player in your team will earn points, with the team earning the most points being classes as the winner. The points system will be

• 20 points per wicket
• 5 points per catch or stumping
• 1 point per run
• 0 points per runout
• If a trump player is identified as a trump player they will earn double points

Prizes and Entry Fees

An entry fee of $5.00 per person will apply. Anyone can enter, they do not have to be associated with the club. Entry fee is payable to your coach or manager at your next scheduled competition match.

The person who has the team with the most points will win a minimum cash prize of $100 (a proportion of all profits made will be added to this minimum prize amount). If multiple people have teams with the same points the prize money will be split equally.
