Magpies Cricket Academy

The Magpies Cricket Academy was established at the end of the 2003/2004 season to promote the development of our junior players. The academy is a six week program run by a qualified coach (currently Barry Clapson) where the selected participants get to improve their skills.

At the end of each season the coach of our Under 10, 11 and 12 sides select several players in their side who they believe may not be the best players in the side but rather are the most willing to learn and improve themselves. The club coach then narrows these nominations down to one per side. The players are then announced at the club's annual presentation night.
